Printing Methods & Variations
HALF TONE PRINTING
Halftone is a printing method that emphasizes the use of gradients with tiny dots. Images with gradients can be printed using halftone with only one color, or with more colors giving a greater effect. The process of halftone requires perfect alignment and professional printing skills for best results.
SPOT COLOR PRINTING
Another printing method using strong colors and solid shapes for a visual impact. This technique pulls colors from the image using a program tool. The color is then printed on the substrate using specific printing tools that lay a thin, but opaque color that punches out the design.
COLOR MATCHING & MIXING
Some colors are not straight out the bucket, and require a good eye and mixing system. Matching colors is important for brands, and some designs. The colors must be perfectly weighed and mixed without waste for ideal applications. We use branded inks for best color matching and longevity.
DIGITAL PRINTING
Direct to Garment printing is perfect for a few shirts, or testing the market for new designs. Our DTG inks are waterbased and long lasting. It's a CMYK printing method, and very soft hand feel.
TRANSFERS Heat Applied
Transfers can be printed now and saved for later. This method is very convenient for delivering a final product when an order is made at a later time. Transfers require a specific heating temperature and time setting for best results. The colors are strong and long-lasting.
Direct to Garment
Suitable for print-on-demand and drop shipping. DTG printing is fast, cost effective and doesn't require a setup. Only works with cotton shirts. The better the quality of cotton the better the prints.
Screen Printing
For large orders, screen printing is the best choice. There is a setup. Lower costs involved. More garment options. Great for white only designs. Super white prints can be achieved on dark garments. The feel varies from thin and soft to thick and popping.
Heat Transfer
Basically, printing your design onto a sheet and then applying that sheet to a garment using heat. If done correctly, it will last for years. Like DTG, transfers allow a broad range of colors. It's suitable where DTG doesn't work, like on polyester or thick hoodies.
